Using Filters

Filters can be applied in a few ways to Controller.

If you want the end user logging into controller to only see particular data, and have a filter enabled from the highest level, you can do so by creating a filter on a Group, then adding that user to a Group in Admin Center. These filters cannot be removed directly by the end user. You can read more about Group filters in the Admin Manual here.

You can also use filters directly on the People overview screen. Click on the People tab from the left hand menu. On this screen, you will see the filters pane on the right side.

You can add a new filter by clicking on the Filter button in the top right corner, then clicking on Add New Filter.

Now you can give the filter a name, then click on the Save button.

In the filter condition editor that opens on the right hand side, you can add the conditions for how you would like to filter your data. You can add filters to only show records that have particular Profiles, records that do or do not have photos, and can add custom conditions based off of fields from the Person Details.

Once you have added your conditions, you will see them appear in the condition list at the bottom of this pane. If you want to remove all of the conditions, click on the Remove All button. If you want to remove particular conditions, click on the red trashcan icon to the right of the entry. You can then click on the Save button to apply the filter and return to the People Overview screen.

Back on the People screen, you will see your new filter in the list on the side. Whenever a filter is activated, you will see the button indicated in a grey color like below. If you want to clear the filter, you can click on the No Filter button.

After you have multiple filters, you can edit them by clicking on the Filter icon in the top right corner, then select Edit Person Filters.

The filter condition editor will open on the right hand side. You can select a filter from the dropdown at the top, make changes to it, then click on the Save button at the bottom to return to the People overview screen.
